In worlds that keep turning and unfolding, that arrive only to choke within themselves, in relentless, unstoppable quests, I find myself, at the age of eighteen, rising and setting out on a journey of inquiry. Within my inner home, the storm of Telemachus’s household rages. My origins cling to the many facets that envelop the voyage of search and return. Telemachus’s departure from his home, his separation from his mother, Penelope, marks for me the convergence of symbolism between absence, existence, rupture, and departure, while on the other side, the father contends in his own way with the gods and the forces of nature - in his own return. These three, each in their own right, are shaped by personal odysseys, laboring toward their own creation through cunning, blood, sweat, and tears. My own journey, too, finds its foothold in the cunning of art and writing. These serve as a solid ground from which I may symbolically document my private voyage.
